Hi Pinkies,

The 2008 Ramsay Health Care Triathlon Pink National Series is now just two months away from launching with the Gold Coast event kicking off proceedings on 12 October 2008. We hope your training is going well and you are all ready for summer. Every day there is something new happening with Triathlon Pink and we will endeavour to keep you abreast of all the goings on via the website and these newsletters:

RAMSAY HEALTH CARE TRIATHLON PINK SERIES LAUNCHED

Last week the 2008 Ramsay Health Care Triathlon Pink Series was officially launched at St George Private Hospital. Led by Series Ambassador Aj Rochester the morning was a great success with hospital CEO Tracey Burton kicking this years series off. Also at the launch was Pinkie and series supporter The Honourable Lynda Voltz, NBCF representative Pauline Don and 2007 Pinkie Karina Keily. One common theme throughout the morning was the importance of health and fitness for all women and the fact that we are all out there trying to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Research.

WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR

This years series will be bigger and better with every Pinkie receiving a complimentary finishers photo and certificate thanks to Scody and www.triathlonphotos.com. We will also have a very special collectors edition prize for you at the finish line and this years t-shirts are fantastic. There will be more announcements as race month draws closer but rest assured we will have some fun come race day.

WHAT SORT OF BIKE SHOULD I RIDE?

Any bike will do as long as it has two wheels, has brakes and is safe. Oh and it must only be powered by you….no engines allowed. Last year saw many different kinds of bikes including mountain bikes, bmx’s, road bikes and general bikes….so whatever is in the garage will get you around the course.
Remember our motto - CHALLENGE, PARTICIPATION AND FUN. You have all challenged yourselves by entering and we know you are having fun training, with three months to go we can’t wait to see you all participating.

Enjoy the buildup.
